North Lanarkshire's Education Department wanted to actively promote International Education and wanted to establish its own International Education Award.
Since they were keen to involve pupils they launched a competition to design an International Education logo to be displayed on the award.
1st year pupils at Our Lady's were given the Design Brief below. At the bottom of this screen you will find some of their entries. Click on the thumbnail images to see a full size version of each logo.
You have to design a logo for International Education which should incorporate the letters “IE”. It should also reflect the multi-disciplinary aspect of International Education, including the broad themes given below;
• Children and young people
• Friendship and partnership
• Educational and cultural exchange
• Diversity
• Multiculturalism
The following restrictions should be strictly adhered to:
Size: logo image to be no bigger that A5 and no smaller than A6
Colour: no more than three colours. A single colour is also acceptable
Elements: include at least ONE of themes indicated above
Lettering: the logo must incorporate the letters “IE”
