S2 Hand Puppets
Second year pupils have been creating hand puppets of famous people they admire.
This years selection of puppet personalities have included : Eminem, Sharon Osbourne, Lyndsay Lohan, Shunsuke Nakamura, Daniel Radcliff, and President Bush!
The pupils really enjoyed creating their puppets as part of their 5/14 art education.
The process of creating puppets involved learning about Jim Henson and the Muppets, studying portraiture and costume design, as well as working with papier mache and paint.
There also is a bit of hair dressing involved as most pupils want their puppets to have a good hair day/display - some even end up giving their creations a trim!
All in all the puppets this year have been highly successful and the pupils should be proud of their excellent work!
