Events and Activities

Throughout the course of the school year, there are many curricular and extra curricular events organised within Our Lady’s.

Inter house competitions are prevalent throughout the year with pupils representing their house in different activities such as football, badminton, basketball and softball. The main emphasis is on participation and fun, but there is an element of competition also.

There is an annual school sports day for S1 and S2. This again gives pupils the opportunity to take part in an organised athletics event and display their strengths. Successful performers will also get the opportunity to represent the school at the North Lanarkshire County Sports.

Every year the PE department are involved in fund raising events and from year to year, these may change. In session 2008 – 2009, there has been a Champions League football event involving both staff and pupils. This raised money to go towards the Pilgrimage to Rome for S6 pupils.
